Ellie Munten’s pictures animate you to pose questions about the unsaid, which, ultimately takes up a great deal of space in human consciousness. Munten researches this area and verbalises it through the medium of painting. Here, she is aware of the unexpected, unforeseeable which escapes her influence, but which, at the same time, constitutes a clear element of the work. The works provide space for the unexpected, unknown and illogical.

Dr.Christian Krausch, Kunsthistoriker
(Geschäftsführer des Museumsverein Mönchengladbach,
Städtisches Museum Abteiberg, Mönchengladbach) Germany.

Techniques : oil and acryl on canvas, wood and paper.
